NEHII’s Electronic Prescribing Solution – ScriptSure
Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS)
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) makes Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) a mandatory measure in the Promoting Interoperability (formerly Meaningful Use) program effective in 2021.
The SUPPORT ACT requires that, for Medicare patients, providers will electronically prescribe controlled substances beginning October 2021.
What does this mean for you?
DAW – ScriptSure ERX e-Prescribing software is now available!
The Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NEHII), in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), have partnered with DAW in a major effort to provide you not only with a tool to assist you in meeting the upcoming federal mandate and improving patient safety, but the funds to do it as well. If you do not have e-prescribing capabilities, we have a solution. ScriptSure ERX!
What will this cost me?
Great news! If you do not have an e-prescribing solution, you can receive a coupon that will pay for the annual subscription for ScriptSure ERX for the first year if implemented by August 15, 2020.
- After that, you would pay an ongoing subscription of $385 per prescriber, per year.
- Also covered is the cost of integrating the DAW solution into your EHR/EMR if implemented by August 15, 2020 (approximate $3,500 value).
- You would then pay the $500 annual maintenance fee.
